Reports from the Guardian in England suggest that Manchester United is planning to sack manager Erik Ten Hag following the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
Ten Hag took charge as United manager in 2022 and secured the EFL League Cup in his first season. However, the club’s performance declined in the 2023-24 season, finishing eighth—their lowest since 1990—and recording a negative goal difference for the first time in the Premier League era.
The club’s hopes of playing European football next season now rest on winning the FA Cup final against the Premier League champions, but regardless of the outcome, the Dutchman is expected to be dismissed.
